A work unique to benefit the interested Sanskrit scholars the world over, as it represents a concise compendium of all the writings on poetics and Dramaturgy. it stands on par with works dealing with sahitya darpana and prataparudriya which furnish techniques of sravya and drsya types it also has added information on the qualities of the Sanskrit Alphabet and in the ganas of prosody. which is helpful for all poets in their compositions. it also furnishes information of the varieties of poets according to their taste in poetry and literature. a chapter named Catuprabandha laksana is added to the end. this edition has been written taking into account all the copies available in all the libraries all over the country. this work is presented in the original Sanskrit. it contains 11 chapters as under.

There was a king by name Bhakti, ruling the wide country who was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. He had a son by name Manma who held the title of Thyagamahasamudra, once when he was in the royal court, while discussing the topic of Kavyas and other related matters he said to A, there are many topics in our sahitya like varnasuddhi, kavyavrtti,rasas, bhavas, nayakas of different types, dosas gunas natyadharmas, roopakas and their varieties, catus prabandhas and many other matters scattered here and there hence you are requested to bring all the topics in a single work. A then collected material from different sources and the sarvalankarasangraha came to be,
the sanskrit work is very beaautiful and worth a read at leasure. there may be other connections to this but to have gathered every thing and presented in this fashion is itself a unique task.
