Chapter 10 verse.29.
Aryama is actually another name for Sun. After creating Prajapati, Sun divides itself into 12 forms each representing a month of the year. Aryama representing Vaishakha.
This form of Sun Aryama is also used for the chief of Pitraloka...where the souls of our ancestors rest before taking rebirth. This Pitraloka is a demi-heaven, and the souls fulfil their desires from the offereings /sacrifices/donations done by their children/grandchildren etc.
So Hindu Rishis started this practice of Shradha (which is going on now a days)... here the people offer food etc (normally to brahmins), in the name of their ancestors and offer Water Tarpan to them. This fulfils the desires of the ancestors and they shower their blessings on the family.
Some skeptics argue - how can the food eaten by Brahmin reach the ancestors.
Here it is not the physical food which reaches them, but the subtle part of the Panchtattwa and the energy of Sankalpa reaches the ancestors. On shradha food is not only offered to Brahmins but also to crows, cows and dogs... and these living beings when eat...their soul shower blessings and that energy also reaches the ancestors.
