Know the true value of time; snatch seize and enjoy every moment of it, for people often complain they cannot find time. In truth people can make time for what they choose to do it is not the time but the will that is wanting.
Time is the coin of your life it is the only coin you have and only you can determine how it will be spent. be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.
the hours you live for other people however are not those that should be deducted but rather those which benefit neither you nor any one else.
The moments we forgo eternity itself cannot retrieve.
In Lord Chester fields advise to his son he writes:-
1. Every moment you now lose is so much character and advantage lost, as on the other hand every moment you now employ usefully is so much time wisely laid out at prodigious interest.
2. It is astonishing that any one can squander away in absolute idleness one single moment of that small portion of time.
Time indeed is a sacred gift and each day is a little life.
Interestingly
a distinguished archaeologist had but 100 pounds a year to his account more surprising is the fact that when he was asked if he contemplated accepting any post or office he replies certainly not for he values his leisure and opportunity as priceless possessions far more than silver or gold and would not waste any of his time in making money.
