 Mother Janaki's Life Through the Years

Birth (Age 0)
Discovered by King Janaka while ploughing a sacred field and lovingly raised as the princess of Mithila. She came to be known as Janaki, Vaidehi, and Sita.

Childhood
Grew in wisdom, kindness, devotion, and inner strength. Her purity and compassion made her beloved throughout the kingdom.

Around Age 16
At her Swayamvara, Lord Rama alone lifted and broke Lord Shiva's bow. She joyfully accepted Him as her husband, beginning one of history's most revered marriages.

Age 16–28
Lived in Ayodhya as the ideal princess and devoted wife, serving the royal family with humility and grace.

Around Age 28
Refused to remain in the palace when Rama was exiled. Choosing love and duty over comfort, she accompanied Him to the forest.

Age 28–42
Shared every hardship of forest life with courage and contentment. After being abducted by Ravana, she remained steadfast in virtue, faith, and devotion despite immense suffering.

Around Age 42
Reunited with Lord Rama after Ravana's defeat, demonstrating to the world her unwavering purity, dignity, and strength.

Later Years
Lived as the embodiment of patience, sacrifice, and righteousness. She raised Lava and Kusha with wisdom and noble values. In the end, she returned to Mother Earth, from whom she had first appeared.

Lord Rama's Life Through the Years 

Birth (Age 0)

Born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya as the eldest of the four princes. His birth is celebrated as Rama Navami.

Age 5–12

Received a royal education in the Vedas, archery, statecraft, and ethics under Sage Vashistha. Even as a child, He was known for humility, obedience, and compassion.

Around Age 16

Accompanied Sage Vishwamitra to protect sacred yajnas. Defeated Tataka, Subahu, and drove away Maricha. At Mithila, He broke Lord Shiva's mighty bow and married Princess Sita.

Age 16–28

Lived in Ayodhya as the ideal prince, winning the love and respect of the people through His noble conduct.

Around Age 28

On the day appointed for His coronation, He gladly accepted fourteen years of exile to fulfill His father's promise. He entered the forest accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana.

Age 28–42

Spent fourteen years in exile, visiting sages, protecting hermitages, destroying many demons, forming friendships with Guha, Sugriva, and Hanuman, and inspiring unwavering devotion.

Around Age 42

Defeated Ravana in Lanka, rescued Sita, and established the victory of dharma over adharma.

Around Age 42

Returned to Ayodhya and was crowned king. The reign of Rama Rajya became the eternal model of justice, righteousness, prosperity, and compassionate governance.

Later Years

Ruled with fairness and selflessness, always placing dharma above personal comfort. His life became the timeless example of the ideal son, husband, brother, friend, and king.

The Lesson of Rama's Life 

Every stage of Lord Rama's life teaches a virtue. As a child He obeyed, as a student He learned, as a prince He served, as an exile He endured, as a warrior He protected, and as a king He ruled with justice.
