Grand Canyon — Nature's Immense Sculpture
For millions of years, the Colorado River has slowly carved its way through the rocks of northern Arizona, creating one of Earth's most spectacular landscapes—the Grand Canyon.
Its enormous cliffs reveal layer upon layer of geological history. Some of the exposed rocks are nearly two billion years old, allowing us to look deep into Earth's past simply by looking at its walls.
There was no architect, no blueprint and no army of workers. Water, wind, time and the movement of the Earth did the work.
Standing before it, the scale is difficult to comprehend. The canyon is not merely something to look at; it is something that makes us feel the immense age and power of our planet.
Man builds monuments to make history visible. Nature needs no inscription—her monuments are written in stone.
