From a small village in Manipur to the Special Protection Group (SPG) guarding the Prime Minister of India — Adaso Kapesa’s journey is a powerful symbol of courage, discipline and determination.
Hailing from Kaibi village in Senapati district Adaso began her journey from a local school before joining the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Through years of dedicated service, rigorous training and exceptional performance, she earned her place among the country’s most elite security personnel.
She completed her SPG commando training in 2020 and joined the Prime Minister’s core security team in 2024— becoming a remarkable example of women breaking barriers in India’s security forces.
Behind every uniform is a story of sacrifice. Behind every achievement is years of discipline. And behind this achievement stands a woman from Northeast India who has shown that where you come from does not decide how far you can go.
